Bloodhound Gang to play Sin City!!?

Holy Fuck have some of my Christmasses come at once? Metallica yesterday, and with Fflam cancelled I was planning a restful weekend, rueful only of missing the BHG. I walk past Derricks on my way home to day to find they are still playing Swansea and in Sin City no less! This will be by far the smallest place i have seen them and it will be fucking amazing. Yes!!!

Reading & London - 6-8th July 2007

Matt carried this apple around for ages. prompting the new phrase "Matt's arm" for cock. Other phrases from this weekend included "Death's Horse" (Dildo) and "Doubtwurst" (suspiscious looking sausage).

Profile of Matt.

Dead people on a lawn.

Jimmy "Rob Trujillo" Li. Looking hard. Or bored. I can't tell which.

Some weirdo performance artists. Gold painted lepers they are essentially.

A strangely red faces cath. I suspect she had just farted.

A podule with some idiot tourists in. Yes I appreciate the irony.

Views from the London eye - does it run on Hope hubs we wondered?

Festival withdrawal prompted an attempted recreation in the garden.

The smoking ban in england provided researchers with an opportunity to examine the link between nicotine intake and literacy levels.

Nigel

Nigel - Matt's sort of cat

Aside from Metallica this weekend involved shopping, eating a lot, farting a lot, stroking Nigel, being clawed by Nigel, going on the London Eye and talking massive amounts of bollocks. We also had a BBQ in Matt's garden and shouted at Live Earth for cutting Metallica off - also because Genesis and that arse face James Blunt played.

Metallica@ Wembley 8th July 2007

Wembley - I'm very lazy and didn't take any of my own photos of the stadium or of Metallica so I will have to wait to steal someone elses.

I bet this guy was gutted when Jason left... maybe if he added long hair and a wispy beard it might look like Rob?

This is how much the crowd loved HIM - they constructed an impressive beeramid!

Setlist:

Creeping Death
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Sad But True
Disposable Heroes
The Unforgiven
...And Justice For All
The Memory Remains
The Four Horsemen
Orion
Fade To Black
Master Of Puppets
Battery
---
No Leaf Clover
Nothing Else Matters
One
Enter Sandman
---
Whiplash
Seek & Destroy

My memory fails me somewhat so I might correct it if someone else can remember.

This was a great gig overall - Mastodon were just noise to be fair but Machine Head were good. HIM we tried to ignore and entertained ourselves by laughing at the girls doing the macarena to then - whores. My main irritations were a) NO cider - I had to have a glass of WINE?!!? (They also had Champagne for £7.50 a glass?!) and b) there front was cordoned off for some reason so only knobends with special wristbands could get in. My other gripe was the crowd. Some of the guys around me were pretty good and we got several decent pits going and were jumping around otherwise, but in general it seemed lethargic compared to other 'Tallica crowds I've been in, even right down the front. Coupled with this, a scary amount of people didn't seem to know any of the pre Black Album songs - especially Disposable Heroes and some off Kill 'Em All. It was a disgrace I tell you. Still a worrying amount of people knew the words to No Leaf Clover - a song which until afterwards I assumed was some sort of dodgy cover to give an idea of how many times I have listened to it. Metallica were great, it just wasn't the greatest Metallica gig I've been to. Still, nice to see Justice and Whiplash in the set for once.

Catch Up - Cat Leads

As a laugh we got the cats a lead. Given that they don't like collars or cheese rind much, not to mention bow ties, it was very amusing. No cats were traumatised (much) during the taking of these photos...

Catch Up - Gower Walk

A few weekends ago we went on a rather pleasant walk around Llangenneth and other areas, some of whihc involved climbing on rocks. At one stage we had a wheelbarrow race during which my attempts to cheat left me with a dead leg after I fell on my phone. Poetic Justice perhaps.
