Apparantly there are to be 2 Star Wars TV series to follow ROTS. A live action series featuring characters and situations between ROTS and ANH, and a 3D Clone Wars Cartoon Series.

Obi-Wan Kenobi in Clone Armour

Finally - it let me post more pics!

General Kenobi, years ago you served my father in the clone wars...

Now there's an irony - not only was Obi-Wan serving for Bail (and the whole senate), he was also with Anakin, Leia's true father. Well, well, well...

So I've got the bits and completed most of the work - I just need to sort out a small post and ball to act as a head pivot - its blu tac at the moment!

I also need to add the white retaining discs to the cloak/

Checklist update

Check - 4 more figures acquired - Ki-Adi Mundi, Aayla Secura, Saesee Tiin and Luminara Unduli. Had to hunt a bit for unripped packaging though!

Next wave has some lush clone troopers in it.

The reason I'm doing this - the coolest clones figure they didn't make! Fools!

New projects

Now I've got work to do again (like I didn't) I have decided instead to concentrate on a project I have had in mind for a while - A Clone Wars Obi-Wan in Clone Trooper armour - not the cartoon series.

I have identified and sourced components:

head from an Obi-Wan Pilot (AOTC)
Super-poseable clone trooper
Helmet from Deluxe clone trooper (as its rubbery)
Cloak from obi wan pilot for series 2 and cloak from 95 release vader cut down for series 1 - along with amaterial undercloak.

Should be relatively easy I hope.

Revenge of the Sith Toy Madness

The Revenge of the Sith expanding flannel(!)
Slightly bizarre.

Biker Advanced Recon Commando (BARC) Speeder Bike. Complete with cool Clone Trooper in Biker Scout gear - almost exactly the same as the Jedi costume. With Ripcord Action!

The new AT-RT with pilot. Obviously the forrunner of the AT-ST in Empire and Jedi. Nice to get vehicles with figures too.

The second of the two Anakins in the first wave. I assume the eyes are supposed to look like he has fallen to the dark side. Personally I think it looks like his eyeshadow is badly applied and he is a slightly ugly woman.

The first new Vader figure - with material cloak and silly saber swinging action. Nicely moulded though.

The vehicles released so far: Droid Tri-fighter, Obi-Wan and Anakin's Jedi Starfighters, Grievous' Wheel Bike, Obi-Wan and Boga, AT-RT and pilot, BARC Speeder and rider. LUSH

A moderately better pic of the figures - the gap is for the variation Blue Senate Guard which wasn't around. Might have to be an Ebay special soon! As Hasbro are wont to do for collectors, in the first wave they released a variation senate guard - a red one and a blue one, 2 different Obi-Wans, 2 different Yodas and 2 different Anakins. Bastards. Even more annoying - most of the figures are a bit pants!

April 2nd 2005 - A day that will live in infamy. The day that Revenge of the Sith toys were released and I spent my rent on buying all of them. I got to Toys R Us at 8.45 am - by 9.15 I had a trolley full. So satisfying, yet so expensive. Ultimately so demoralising to know that these were perhaps a quarter of the final number!
