Apologies fior slackness

Weezer review and Audioslave review and pics will follow eventually I promise. Kings of leon gig on Saturday too!

Stay tuned

Garden Chairs

We gave up on a furniture set for this year and got some cheap deckchairs from Woolies - only £14 each with footstools - bargain! Carrying them home with some shopping and the new CD player for the kitchen was tough though - my arms still hurt!

Kitchen Roll...

Bloody Lenin!

Jammin' with Taz

Style Controllers/The Lobster Touch need more hot chicks to give Mart some competition (picky!) - watcha reckon!?

Display Space

A new Star Wars cabinet - I am still rapidly running out of room - piles are developing.

Results are impressive though!

We now have a wall of wardrobes and storage! I even managed to get the hinges to work.

Luggage

Had to ride in the back of the van all the way home. Uncomfortable, but cheaper than getting a bus.

Bloody Ikea!

Not only do I spend all evening putting together self-assembly furniture, I then discover that the Ikea blue bag has stained my bathroom floor - which won't come off at all! he only solution presenting itself is to remove the offending sections and replace with spares from the offcuts. Annoying nonetheless!

The Odyssey

Self-explanatory (and self-assembly)

Cretin.

Both of them were going nuts for catmint. I didn't think they were supposed to eat it?!

Ebay or bust!

aA guy in Swansea is selling off his whole collection, something about wife and child I dunno - but look at this!! Picked up a mint A Wing, basically just unsealed, for £225!! Bargain! We're talking £450-600 worth of collectable here! WOW!

How exactly am I going to afford this I wonder?

The Weezer Experience

Alex (my dealer), Cath and Matt's pint. I'm such a great photographer!

Darkened =W= . Flukey as it was, I rather like this shot!

PDA AOK

FINALLY I've resolved that music issue - recording direct to memory stick via the SonicStage software provided seems to work (obvious really).

I've also got the new case from Proporta, so hopefully it won't get quite so mashed now. I'd post a pic, but it's hard to photograph the camera!

ARC 170 Figher - it's finally here!

It's here, and it's massive! I include my thumb for scale purposes. What a cool toy!! Now I just need three pilots (now the TRU 3 4 2 offer has finished) and a droid (hard to get now obviously). Great.

The finished product - albeit with 4 stickers left over which simply aren't on the instructions!!

Some assembly required ....

ARC Box

Another Cool Clone Figure

AT TE Tank Gunner - although not quite as cool as the commander as the arms don't pose as much. Be interesting to see if they make an AT-TE!

Red Veg menu

I think the Greek Salad Wrap next time

The Travellers Continue

Sof and Phil have reached sunny Oz and have bought a small van to live in. How quaint. This is their photo record until they got there.

Total bastards.

Taking the piss now...

Gecko and the Lizardmen? (in the same vain...)

(...Keep up...)

(Echo and the Bunnymen dumbass)

(It was not crap - made me laugh anyway!)

In that case, is this the Temple of the Dog?

If this is the Stone Temple, who and where are the Pilots?

Some pretty fields. Paddy perhaps? I rather expect a platoon of marines with helicopters land here and massacre civilians shortly after this pic. Or some Napalm falls from the sky.

What you don't see is Phil just off camera adding the number in his little book. Cos he is a lucky GIT!!!

(Jealous? Me?)

Band Names Generator

Screw 1998 Fast Car mags - THIS is the ultimate band name generator!

Handsome Smell RULE!

AUDIOSLAVE!!

LUSH gig.

Cornell performed an acoustic solo of Black Hole Sun, and Spoonman, Sleep Now in the Fire and Killing in the Name of were all player. Morello is awesome!!

Will (hopefully) have some good pics soon, I was right down the front again even though it was boiling and I was sweating profusely! Suffering slightly today though as my wrist and ankle are buggered from the pit. Plus I dropped the camera at one point and only flukily found it with my foot before the next song started!

Full review and set list when I get the pics done.

Newport

God I hate Newport.

Audioslave pit results

All the way back to Swansea my trousers were reaking of a thousand mens' sweat (and a few cute girls' sweat too). It was making me retch at times. Good gig tho!

Eating in Oxford Street

Red Veg - my new London haunt. It serves excellent veggie fast food at reasonable (for London) prices. Will scan the flyer if I can find it. I've had a chilli/cheese veggie burger and parsley and coriander falafel on coriander and line tortilla. Incidentally, the burger had coriander in it too.

Not long before we are back in Brixton (again) for Cornell & Co.

You HAVE to be kidding me?

Caribbean Medical Schools St. Martinus University Curacao

This could easily be a band name!!

Oh talking of which - I think we are Style Controllers at the moment (!)

Medical School Guide - Dreams of swan..

Medical School Guide - Dreams of swan..

It has come to this - I am so famous I am getting dreamed about by girls I've (never) met (ok once - but I forget which one she was)

LUSH!!

Big League!

Martin is also a buttock

Sam is a buttock

...Gone.... Err Back....As Casanova!

Wow! How clever was that! From an odd Northern bloke to Italy's greaest lover. Genius.

A rather good final episode (or episodes) to what was a patchy series. David Tennant will be an odd one - perhaps the new Tom Baker?

Its a pity Billie Piper didn't fry her brain - but then again, how would that be possible - she would need to have a brain first.

Going......

Explosive temper.

Going ....

Who? Me?

B.I.K.E. (brainless and incredibly kruel experiment

OK OK so I couldn't think of any words beginning with K, its not like I've got an English degree...

I have decided to reacquaint myself with Swansea'a ridiculous hills and have had my bike shipped back. A little maintenance is needed, it seems my Dad has been thrashing it since he "borrowed" it 6 years ago.

All 4 brake blocks need replacing, a new saddle, new lights, new mudguard, new helmet, new pump and a crank nut so the thing doesn't fall to bits. I also MUST get some black tape for those hideous flourescent bar ends. What was I thinking?

Salad Days

Tomato and peppered Mozzarela with a sweet Thai salad. Impressive. Most impressive.

Studio 18A

Jump in the studio!

My lounge is starting to resemble a studio - I have my bass, a drum kit, 3 amps, an effects pedal, innumerable cables and now a keyboard(!)

A lot, you'd think, for three people (and thats not counting Steve's 2 guitars)

We now have a song at least - about stray dogs no less! Sounds a lot like Lou Reed - very slidey. We have also been working on a harmonic interlude and a song that currently has no lyrics and sound s alot like a Zutons song.

Wait for it - I am also trying my hand at lyrics. Oh dear. For some reason it is developing into something about the pensions crisis but seems to have developed a Weezeresque structure. I'm almost certain it will be shite, but I will put it on here when I write some more for your amusement.

Full of Vitamin C

The fruits of my labour - I don't think I've EVER had a fruit bowl this full. I have bananas and grapes in the kitchen as well. Whats the betting most of it rots?

Another recruit to the blogging family

http://www.serialslacker.blogspot.com/

I think the "serial" referred to is Ricicles

Now theres a song in that - Riciles, icicles, bicycles, unicylcles....

=W= =W= =W= =W=

Weeeezerrr. Weeeezerrrr. Weeeeezerrrr.

Chanted the crowd between EVERY song. It was the lushest gig I've been to since the last Weez one in 2002 - possibly except for Metallica at Earls Court.

Full report and pics to come - need to get them developed (instant camera, mosh pit, me taking pics - don't expect miracles)

More Star Wars

Got the Polis Massan, Vader's medical droid and Mas Amedda, and have just ordered the AT TE Tank Gunner figure (x2) and the ARC 170 gunship from the Entertainer online - woooooooo!!!

Can't wait. I hope the 3 for 2 offer is still on in TRU so I can get some pilots!

Jackson Innocent

Once again I am proved right. I have said from the beginning that Jackson was not capable of abusing children and a jury of (white) Americans no less have found him innocent on all counts. It is amazing that for once justice is actually done in an American court room!

PDA Quandary

I can't get the fucking trees..... Damn it I will kill everybody in the whole world!

For some reason I can't figure out how to get music onto my PDA, nor how to copy files from the system mem onto the memory stick. Now I can't find the software disc either.

Bugger.

In harmony with nature

This might be taking respect for wildlife and trees a little too far...

Sound advice...

Sensible policies for a safer Britain. You might cut your tongue if you tried - although exactly how one would try is a question I'm not sure I want to ask!

Lenin's silver tongue?

What a cretin.

Another new toy

Martin's suspiciously Goth drum kit - and very nice it is too. Still VERY loud, even with mufflers on. Not sure the neighbours like it too much :S Hopefully we can get some practice rooms before too long. We had quite a productive evening - got the bones to about 4 new songs. By that I mean we developed some snazzy riffs with no lyrics or melody. Not my responsibility thankfully!

Apparantly we are now called "The Cracks"

I know, thats what I thought.

This evening with Richard not Stewart

We saw Richard Herring live! A 30 minute routine on his desire to bath in yoghurt and about 20 minutes on his application to be Pope had us crying with mirth! Pity the lights made his head glow so much really.

www.slacker.com

This should reflect my recent blog activity. I've gots lots to put on - Richard Herring, countdown to Weez, etc etc - but I've been lazy.

Ordered my new glasses today - £175(!). Only problem is I'm skint - lucky for me I got that Goldfish card really.

Bendy metal, photochromic lenses the full shebang, I bet I'll still break them though.

New Weezer album is pretty good - will do a proper review when I can be arsed - new audioslave one on the way!

Band practice tonight with the new drums!

Rock on.

And a submarine!

Fleeting glimpse

Fairy

1 More Matchstick fleet shennanians - fairy swordfish and I think there was a Gloucester Gladiator on it as well. If you know your WWII attack aircraft...
