Roughride

I'm supposed to be doing the 75km Roughride event in Hereford on 3rd June. My knee is injured, I haven't cycled for 3 weeks and now I have a cold. Great.

Ok so Friday and Saturday are pretty shit but with the BHG and Buzzcocks (and Manics) playing Friday that muight be worth £40.

Winner - Fantasy Superleague 2006-07

Well here it is - proof that my world cup victory CAN be translated into domestic success!
Despite a slight wobble when it looked like Jimmy might nick it, I powered back to the top of both the leage and goals chart to take the title.

And part of that reason was down to my astute tactical substitions before the FA cup final, which gained me 23 points. Not quite the barnstorming finish which brought me the world cup but not too shabby.

And these (small as it is) are the players that brought me the title. Even Steven "I'm shit when you sign me" Gerrard.

I also took second in the TFF 2nd half game but I don't think any of us really bothered with that.

Football updates

Multiple football related updates are needed:

In the Fantasy Superleague I have regainded top spot with only the cup final to go - for which I have naturally loaded my team with Man U and Chelsea players. I think I might just take the title... In the second half game I am lying in second, but with similar tactics employed you never know (we all remember my dramatic win in the World).

As Man utd take the premiership and Arsenal stumble home in fourth, lacking most of their big players through injury, Swindon powered their way to automatic promotion, although their limp end to the season meant the top 2 were able to draw away a little. I am nervous about League 1, and that is a depressing concept al round...

In terms of my own footballing - we played the first year GEP students and lost 6-0. I have a very painful knee and now I can't play football or cycle. I hope it is better soon as I have training to do for roughtride on June 3rd. Yikes.
