Mechs off, chain off, bar off, brakes & gears off....

Crankset - can't get the fucking bolt to move a mm! Arse.

Also need to remove the cassette. 10 to 1 I'm going to need a different sodding chain whip.

Bike Update

Front mech on the wane and new SRAM x9 needs ordering. Going for the 31.9 b/p and hoping for the best. SRAM Cassette and Chain now here. How badly am I going to fucka ll this up I wonder? I think I might need X9 shifters really, but the X7s will have to do for now.

Emma's Housewarming

Alex as one of my ultimate fantasies. Man this is just wrong.

Emma's housewarming the other week was a good laugh - we dragged Alex along with us too which was ace. Cath and I had spent weeks trying to get our Twins costumes sorted but had to get most of the stuff in the final weekend - TK Maxx popped up with the jackets, Primark for the hideous chinos, BHS for the shirts and various other places for the awful shoes, wigs and muscle suit. A considerable cost, but worthwhile. Al just threw on any old thing and managed to look unbelievably hot. I must at this point note that 'Alex' in this case is not the moody, Star Wars/cycling Alex, for he most certainly would not look hot dressed as a cat, but Cath's workmate and my latest non-girlfriend female obsession. Cath really does put up with a lot, poor girl, but i do reward her by letting her look at my Star Wars now and again. And no, I don't mean penis.

Sadly after not drinking very much I had a bloody awful hangover and felt like death for several days - but at least I finished my dissertation.

PS - Alex is single so any nice guys out there who may be interested and meet my incredibly detailed criteria leave a comment. Naturally you don't get to know what these criteria are unti you fail.

What a fucking great weekend! Not only did we see the Bloodhound Gang play at the Oasis in Swindon on the friday - before which we met them and had a brief chat with Evil Jared about how shit Swansea was, we got in and out again in about 50 mins (ok so short set but it was a laugh). yay to the cute (but young) girl who got her tits out - boo to the bloke that tried to touch them! Only sad thing - I felt like the weird old bloke at a teeny-gig. Fuck thats rank. Pub after gig, Matt got loaded and to much amusement was persuded to order a 15" meat feast pizza, expanding our repertoire of cock jokes slightly.

Saturday saw some moutain biking on the Ridgeway - one amusing crash down a gravelly hill where Al ploughed into my prone bike but we both escaped unhurt - although my chain had tied itself around the outside of the pedal and the front mech is a bit bent (read totalled). Got home ok then chilled at Andy's with a curry until England lost the Rugby.

Sunday was the best - went to an amazing ANWL gig, ably supported by 2 sick monkeys (cue CD purchase and gratuitous slap on back to bassist/singer) - a bass/drums 2 piece who were fucking great. The League really shone, crowd was a bit wobbly but Tristan and I dragged people in with us now and again and got it going a bit. had my shirt off by the end and Shady had to give me some water cos' he "thought I was about to die" lol. Afterwards we chilled out the back for a bit and Shady came out and chatted with us about various stuff and then we were about to have a smoke with him and Jez when Animal came out said hi and then ordered the rest into the van. A white transit van mind you. Shady got a pic of my jacket for the site so will post a link if it ever makes it on.

So yeah - fucking sweet all round.

Bike Update

Well here goes.... Not done a lot really.

I still have my truvativ Stylo Crankset and SRAM rear mech and shifters sat in a box, as I haven't yet bought the cassette or front mech to make it work. On the case now though. Soon I shall be treating myself to Hope Mono Mini Hydraulics as well to finish it off. I did fit the Race Face Seatpost and SDG Ti saddle however, which have made things a little more comfortable. I still think there is water in my shocks, I'd better get them serviced when I have the brakes done.

Dissertation Update

I have finished and handed in my Dissertation!

No really!

Took a while to edit the inital 33,000 word draft down to 20,000 but I made it eventually. If it gets a good mark maybe I will even serialise it for the three people who still check this site!

Quite apart from the Pistols, I have enough gig tickets to fill...well a small space. 5 Anti-Nowhere tickets for Swindon next weekend, 2 Bloodhound Gang tickets, 2 Damned tickets for December in Sin City, 2 Manics tickets, 2 Bill Bailey tickets and 9 (yes NINE) Cure tickets for Wembley in march. Now all I need do is track down the rightful owners and get my money back!
