TFF Update March 11th

Oh I'm so not happy about this - my faith in Thierry and my refusal to sign lumbering 20+ goal donkeir Drogba is not looking so great... I have made a few changes and this weekend's games have hopefully brought me back into contention. This FA Cup thing has ruined my run though I'm not happy! Still plenty of the season to go yet so I ain't done yet Li!

Whilst I was looking for the Swansea Police station number to report my crime I found this. Sweet.

Late night retarded muggers

Monday update - check out the greeny yellowing!

Ow. Chav bastards. yes I have been the victim of crime - although the lamest crime in history. Coming back from a night out with Greg and Paul I got back here a bit loaded and went for a walk to sober up. Walking past two other guys they jumped me, forced me to the floor and punched me in the head a few times. I managed to break free and they legged it, although I have no idea why (probably got turned on and needed to go fuck each others' ass). Anyhow, they took my phone and knocked my glasses off, but i went home, got Phil and we found my glasses. I got a phone call then on Sunday from a guy who had found my phone - so evidently they figured out it was shit and chucked it - sim and all. It was smashed up but the moral victory of them making absolutely nothing is worth it. I mean I had cash on me and a nice watch, but they took nothing else. Retards. I'm perfectly fine anyway aside from a bit sore and irritated, as I was too drunk to do much except flail about, but still managed to get rid of them. I doubt severely if either of them can read, and certainly don't expect they can use a PC or understand the concept of this, but if they do happen to have this read to them by someone with a brain cell between them, and I run into them again, they will leave with a lot more that a shite phone. Several broken limbs for starters.

Oh if only this were true...

Cycling trip to Redhill

Matt

Mart stopping before yet more sticky deep mud (as it transpired to deep to cycle through)

Matt managed to bring the most 80s jacket with him...which scarily matched his helmet...

Matt demonstrated how muddy we had got after only about 5 miles

Muddy bikes at the cafe where the lure of fried egg baps proved too much

No ride is complete without an amusingly named pub

This was, in retrospect a great ride and some top MTB off road training, marred only by the heavy rain the night before which ensured everything was 4" deep in sticky mud and standing water. This made for a hard, wet and tiring ride whihc ended up at the 26 mile mark. What also didn't help is after some climbing we had a great stony, gravelly downhill section which I belted down first and was holding it fine until the bottom... when I hit some more sticky mud going quite quickly after my brakes were'nt performing that well in the conditions (partly due, as I found out later, to severely work brake pads that for some reason must have developed during the ride as I had checked them just before I left Swansea and they were fine!). So having hit the mud at about 28MPH and stopped much more quickly than I wanted, I was catapaulted into a bramble bush, smacking my knee on something hard and ending up in a tangled heap with my bike. Luckily, aside from the bruised knee, no serious hard was done. Another 20 or so miles of some climbs and some cool downhills (taken a little more steadily) followed, but with my knee getting worse we were forced to turn for home. Yet again I managed to get stuck in several bogs and puddles and my bike was incredibly full of mud necessitating another clean down, but otherwise it performed well and now has new brake pads.
