August - the dead month?

I don't know where this whole idea of August being a dead month where everyone is quiet comes from - although probably because everyone decides to fuck off on holiday making it three times as hard to get any of the masses of work the rest of us have done.

It would be nice to think that I could have a holiday - hah! I'd like to see that happen.
