Bike Update

FINALLY got the crankset and bottom bracket off after much wailing and gnashing of teeth - I used Greg to undo the bolts and the rest was pretty simple after a soak with WD40. Bike in for facing as we speak. Will build it back up this weekend whilst I await my brakes - this is the biggie. I *thought* I had decided on Hope Mono Minis 180/160, but after all the negative reviews and chatting to the LBS dude I have lost confidence in them. He suggested Avid 5's, but Matt has them and I wasn't especially impressed. So now I am looking at getting some Formula Oro K24s which seem to be a similar price for a 180/160 setup, and have nothing but rave reviews across the board. Will talk to LBS tomorrow to see about ordering. In addition I need to get a new headset apparently - mine is probably fucked from the weeks of abuse it took when it wasn't properly tightened. One for the LBS methinks - maybe a Race Face Deus or maybe another cane creek?

Anyway more on the brake conundrum when I get it back and chat to LBS - new crankset, derailleurs, shifters, chain etc etc on over the weekend and I intend to do step-by-step pics. What is more likely is that I will give up and take it to the shop. lol.

Torque Wrench and 16mm Allen key anyone?
